Later the real guy show up, but the mc think he's fake, the guy even show the pendant thing that the mc give when they were kids but the mc was furious after seeing that and throw the pendant thing and told his guard to beat the shit out of him.. the guy was badly hurts .. and later the mc met the old servant of him and said the guy came to meet him ..then the mc realise that the last guy who came was his childhood love. Then mc when to see him but the guy said I'm not the person you are looking for... The end.

Later on cliff got married again to another woman who is amazing as Edith.

Yes, the ending is different from the one in the novel. The author would still be in Reeze's body and OG Reeze would not exist. Cliff also would have become duke while Killeon and Edith went off to develop their own territory.
Not really sure how I feel yet on OG Reeze but I guess we'll find out more about her in the next one

i think what they’re trying to say is both mc and ml are living in the same life and both went back in time, but mc lost his memories about the past, whereas ml remembers.
idk if this is true but my theory is that there’s no “novel” and “normal” universe, it’s just one single universe, and i think mc has this vision of a normal life and suddenly brought into novel as a trauma response after getting abused by ml in the past.
so basically they’re both back in time and ml is trying to fix things? whereas mc is like lost in his “novel” and “normal” worlds imagination
