Nice twist on the Hero and Demon Lord dynamic. This showcase that war is indeed hell for both sides. And it tends to bring out the worst in all of us...and our former hero get a first hand look starting from the time when his student...killed him.

I've been following this manga for a while and I gotta say, this is a nice change up on the typical fantasy hero scenario. This showcase the deconstruction of the genre as a whole and what would happen if you fuck with the hero. Like John Wick, expect him to shove a pencil in your throat. Or worse.
