no the whole point of them going on this "trip" IS to go against mielle cuz right now aria is accused of pushing her father down the stairs but if aria is in a place vvvv far away from the duchy(where the roscente family lived), it wouldn't make sense that she's the culprit. cuz if she is very far away then it'd be impossible for her to be at the duchy when the duke was pushed off

He's not the ML in the sense that the original novel didn't have an ML. It wasn't even a romance novel to begin with. There have been a LOT of hints that they're changing the plot of the manhwa to make it more romance-based (judging by how they're handling the knight and how obvious his attraction to her is), so he MIGHT be the new ML but at this point nobody actually knows.
He can't really be a 2ML if there's no ML to begin with, haha.
