I think is better for both of them to take some time away from each other. I mean, for me, their relationship has been kind of fucked up for a long time now and neither of them seem to be ready for this relationship. I don't know how long it has been since they met but everything seems to go very quickly and they both seem to try to fuck the problems away. They both love each other but they both have problems that they have to solve on their own: Shingo has trust issues that cannot and should not be solved by a partner and Keiichi also has some anger problems imo and has problems with the idea of giving and taking (you shouldn't expect form you partner what you are not willing to be) aside from a shared lack of communication. I think it would be better for them to break up and meet after a while because there is no denying that the love is there it's just that they are not ready for it and I don't think getting back together now would solve anything
