I think the Grand Duke was the person who wanted to turn back time. I think it's probably because he realized that he loves his daughter. He said that there's a pain in his heart when he dreamt himself, killing his daughter. He killed her physically, emotionally, and also mentally. He's an idiot because he allowed himself to be used by his bitch of a 'daughter'. Maybe he cannot withstand the fact that he killed his sweet daughter and he regretted it.
