Everytime he's at the brink they give him a potions of healing that heals him half then he gets tortured again and again. Then throw him to the wolves. (Not literal wolves but those people who are well... not of the sound mind or those who play with corpses. Personally I would not wish this for my worst enemy but those guys are not human. I have no empathy for them
