I’m just going to say it… I don’t like how the story has handled the main character (besides his design) this child was blackmailed into having SM sex and then he ends up liking it for no reason I mean I get it he wants to be praised but I feel like he’s being brainwashed into liking being treated like that (just my opinion so you can disagree). If anything the praise should make him like the uke and not the sex…. Anyway I want to see his dad start treating him better or the mc should cut his dad off (only one of these choices is acceptable) it’s not complete and it’s too early to form an opinion so I’ll see how it goes

I get the feeling that the main theme has to do with self esteem and ways to build it but it’s hard when the mc has absolutely no growth in that regard for 150 chapters… she doesn’t need suddenly be confident of her natural face (that would be really unrealistic) but it would be nice if she were less naive like how many more shady people need to approach her before she finally gets it…. Is there no trauma? Does she not learn? It’s really frustrating because it’s super unrealistic

Feel like they’re treating Suha like a trophy... whoever wins can keep it.... I started out liking the director.... I really don’t want to stop so I hope he can stop trying to isolate Suha soon.... also just wanted to point out director Lee’s father abandoned him so the whole family is whack including the dad not just the grandma and the redhead.... (felt like a lot of people were ignoring that)

First of all this is obviously not going to be exactly like fruits basket because as much as we all love tohru (which is a looooooooot) there can never be another her.
Personally I like the concept of a main character being lifted up by the supporting characters it’s a great contrast to fruits basket where tohru basically lifted everybody up and saved them from their drama. It’s a nice throw back but it’s not the same story. And the characters are still influenced by what happened in fruits basket though not directly it shows in their character and the choices they make.
I love how shiki is affected by Akito’s mistakes but people understand that he’s not at fault for his mother’s wrong doing. Akito is getting punished for the pain she caused and she is not going scot free. This is not supposed to brainwash the reader into sympathizing with her. It’s just from shiki’s point of view. So obviously he sympathizes with his mother because she’s his mother he is obviously going to be biased. So that’s how he feels not how the reader is supposed to feel.
Those are my thoughts... fell free to agree or disagree.
I’m actually getting tired of the trope where the MC’s friend he had a crush on is getting married so the MC moves on but then the friend starts acting all possessive…. Would it kill you to be happy for your friend? Like it’s unattractive (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
