Don't you think you are being too cruel? He literally said his reasons on why he had thought. He doesn't seem like a person who would mind if his other friends are gay, which he had shown. That anger could just be a reflex to back him off. Also, it could be internalized homophobia. Remember that even queer people can experience internalized homophobia. Remember that although some people in China are open to homosexuality, it is still frowned upon enough for queer representation to be labeled as "friendship". Also, of course he would be confused! I mean... The reason is explained in the story. Woojin reminded him of the worst day of his life (his mom and his only friend disappeared on the same day when he was like 10 ffs) and he was also afraid of just getting hurt (being abandoned by him once again). He was also conflicted because on one hand he met his most important person after so long, but on the other hand that guy has changed a lot and Taemin's last memory of him is Woojin leaving without a word.
