I really like this manga so just as a precaution, if anyone knows spoilers could you just tell me one thing:
PLEASE, PLEASE, tell me this isn't one of those manga where the guy raises the girl as his daughter only to marry her afterwards. It would crush me if this happened.

i regret to inform you that yeah, they do exist. And most of them begin cute and innocent, so you have no idea until it hits you from nowhere.
I remember watching that "if it's for my daughter ill defeat the demon king" or smthg anime, right? 100% wholesome in the first couple of episodes (I didn't finish it), loved it. But then I read somewhere that they get fucking married. What the fuck

I began to read that story until I learned they got married!!! Look like the girl was always in love with him.and she is the one confessing her love to him, also she was in her teens and still a minor!!!
I hope this story is not another Usagi Drop, I hate these stories that a man adopt a girl and marry her later!!!

Chapter 23 was the second one where Arth talks about the time he opened up to the FL. Did the manga just not show this or something? Will this be shown in the future or it just happened offpage and that's it?

I think this is the first time I see a possible love triangle in a manga and don't think it will end up in drama. Just a sweet crush among childhood friends (with Chiyo in love with Tetsuko-chan, of course)

I thought that it was just about her personality. I'm often told that I text like a dad trying to be hip but I'm an 18 year old girl. I never really saw it in a negative way though but I suppose it depends on the person and how they interpret it
Well, that's kinda my point. It was just that weird phrase from nowhere and since the manga doesn't go into details, it's hard to know what the author means. Three people here already interpreted in different ways: transgender, crossdresser, and old soul. My point is that if it meant that the character was trans, it was a very insensitive way of saying it. Like yeah, you look and act like a woman, but deep down you are still a man.
to be fair, manga's are not exactly known for their delicacy on these particular subjects. so i might be any of the above. Though it's a really good question, I don't think they really cared
