I've seen a few cute persistent bottom stories but him being a tsundere at the beginning already peaked my attention. however by far my favorite development is how obvious Daum is about liking him back even while he turns Yeon down and explains himself. it doesn't make it feel like Yeon is embarrassing himself when he keeps getting turned down because Daum really does care about him and pays so much attention to him, but it's his insecurities that hold him back. I hate how authors always try to make their top nonchalant even in stories where he almost dies to protect the bottom, they turn around and make daily interactions where the top has the emotional range of a teaspoon or is emotionally or physically aggressive. when the bottom expresses love in those stories, I get so sad because their partner isn't really paying attention to or really seeing their partner. Daum feels like the kind of partner that mimics your body language without realizing it and moves closer to you in a room just because he feels to far away. but he also feels like the type to be the first to notice when you're unhappy and do what he can to remedy it, even if it means breaking up.

Hyunho never confessed to him and Eheon literally was looking at him like "you're in love with your first love but you wanna dick me down? I mean sure you're hot I guess" and he's not wrong. Hyunho never communicated that he loved him or even wanted to date him, he just came across as someone who wanted to get close to Eheon for clout honestly since Eheon is a celebrity. And even if he had feelings, so? It's not Eheon's job to work out that Hyunho feels genuine feelings towards him if Hyunho literally never said "I want to be with you" or "I love you" or "I have feelings for you" or anything that went beyond a physical relationship. He was out here GUSHING about his first love to the man who he knew had no clue that it was him, I would be put off by a guy talking about how they are obsessed with their first love and only wants me as a side bitch or wants me to make myself available to them. And now this? Eheon's right the diss track or whatever is so shady, Eheon told Hyunho MULTIPLE TIMES "I'm just here to make you win. Why are you complaining?" Y'all acting like puritans like because Eheon was Hyunho's first it means he HAS to date him. Why? Hyunho never actually communicates with him and from Eheon's perspective who knows nothing, Hyunho looks annoying as fuck. He won't leave him alone even though he cleared his debt, acts like a child, can't kiss, is hung up on his first love, won't say he has feelings, acts as if Hyunho NEEDS to call him up again to fuck, the list goes on and on. Eheon's a grown man and it literally feels like he is raising a child when they are together, HEAVY on he's hung up on his first love. Why would I even consider you as a romantic partner unless you have made your intentions clear?
And don't get me started on this fuckass diss track. Eheon let Hyunho hit, IN THIS ECONOMY, and he wants to publicly diss him????? MENNNNN. MENNNNN I TELL YOU. Idk why all of y'all rallying to Hyunho's side with y'all's banners raised high ready to go to war. Hyunho lost all aura when he did that it's not classy and Eheon is out here getting death threats? Guess Hyunho dropped that puppy act fast now that he's holding their one night stand over Eheon's head. And y'all fell for it so quick. When I tell you I clocked this man right when I saw him. I dont think his actions here are what I'd call a personality change. It actually fits well with his desperate lame obsession. He's literally just trying to get his attention. And i dont think he realises how the diss track would affect Eheon, because he doesn't even know Eheon would be bothered by this.
Also someone earlier equated the diss track to almost talking about the sex they had which...??? Eheon is the one jumping to conclusions thinking the kid is trying to threaten him and wanting to expose their affair. Which, fair enough , is in line with everything he thinks of Hyunho.
I think no side should be taken here because both of them act unreasonable and stupid but in very different ways. Eheon really is calculating, manipulative and so negative he can't even believe someone can be genuine. Hyunho is a stupid fucking innocent and naive kid that is just at the beginning of tasting the world of celebrities. They together are a hot mess of stupid misunderstandings and miscalculations that lead to big frustrations and upset for us readers(or its amusing for the right audience i guess).
No like I got bored and dropped this at 10 cause I could tell the MC was gonna "get what was coming to him" by the author. Do I have a double standard for MCs? Honestly yea. I'll read stories where the ML does some wack ass shit so me and the MC can clown him and be like "haaa haaaaaa now we gonna play hard-to-get", but I'll never read a story when the ML is the one "taking justified revenge." Why you ask? This season 1 finale has all the answers. When the ML fucks up in stories, the most the MC does is ghost him or get a side bitch and I live for the take-me-back drama. But never ever will I read the reverse unless it's done with utmost care because a lot of authors just have a grape fetish and just want to justify a story where the ML rapes the bratty MC right when the bratty MC realized he's such a "great guy" but he's too late so he has to be the one to chase the ML now. awe HEEEELLLLLLL NO. Chase down a MAN???? Much less a GRAPIST???? In this day and age???? Like some of y'all don't understand this says so much about the author's preferences in stories. There's an entire genre on revenge porn which there's no way the author isn't engaged in stories like "My best friend's younger brother always talks down to me, you fuck around you find out!" ...stupid ah title and all.
yeah it really does show that you didn't read this work past ch10, because though I do agree that there's an entire genre of that type of crap, the MC in this story is actually not a brat, he's outspoken and feisty but it made sense with his backstory, so he's still likeable, his biggest fault was that he already felt guilty but still didn't come clean.
You think readers will react this negatively if he was a bitchy mf too? nah even if we hold the issue of the seme doing a 180 into a account, if the mc was a piece of crap then the sympathy that he'd get would be very few. I know so because I have read that work before about a himbo-like seme who's head over heels for uke but the dude was playing him to be with his bro, so in the end he SA'd him out of revenge - the difference here is that the uke in that story was an actual brat who had no remorse for deceiving him, so even if that was ending, some readers still thought it made sense and had it coming.
Oh? This is more my opinion on where the author's decisions come from. Why did they choose to have a MC's fatal flaw be that "they didn't apologize in time and got graped"? The MC is scamming him, no matter how he feels down the line, he was cocky about it in the beginning and directly fits into people's revenge porn fetish of "knocking them down a peg" because they did you dirty, or are overly-confident, that's where the author gets this concept so I was just saying right when I see the signs I dip. Hearing that the MC already feel guilty just makes the story sound worse and I'm gonna stick to avoiding the signs when I see them.
he wasn't cocky because he was scamming him, he was never cocky, he was scamming coz that was the only "job" that worked for him since he had that leech of an ex-bf sucking everything he earns; he didn't even want to deal with the seme actually on the first chapters; I'm telling you coz you clearly did not read this one. The uke was avoiding imprisonment so he continued with the charade of being another person (the hyung character that the seme fell in love with), and of course the imprisonment threat was first caused by the seme too coz he wanted to find his "fated partner" and wouldn't budge so the uke sold him crap just to keep him at bay, and when ml didn't get what was promised, which was a lover, only then did he push through with the scam allegations against the mc, he only stopped when he met the "hyung" and assumed that was his answered prayer and the charms worked. See how stupid and naive the seme's character is? to pull off an SA action just coz he was angry for being deceived just doesn't make sense, he went with the legal route before, why not do that again instead?
