before i discovered yaoi, my parents never acknowledged my achievements resulting to me desperately wanting someone's warmth, i craved for affection. then i came across an edit on instagram, a yaoi edit. (the yaoi was "Make me Bark") that was the very first time i saw yaoi, it looked interesting and checked it out because i was just totally curious about it!! then after that i read yaois everyday 24/7. im not sure why but i think it's because it made me feel emotions?? like when the MCs finally gets together it makes me feel happy? like the happiness that i got from them erased the affection i wanted so bad from my parents. another reason too is that it makes my heart flutter and i like that feeling lol

I read Yaoi mostly because of the relationships. Just like I’d read yuri or anything. And I like to mostly watch the Yaoi animes just because of the connection between characters and seeing the relationship grow. If I read it just for sex, I’d have stopped reading it.
