Guys, I already read the novel and it's really broke my heart, I cry every time Wen Nian cry on the cruelty and cold eyes of that bastard seme (shit! he can't even be called human, he just a sorry excuse of human & a piece of shit).
I don't know how this manhua turn out, but the novel was enought for me to stop reading them, because after I read the part that Wen Nian and the bastard have divorced, I read the last chapter & what the F***, they got together (Uuggghhh)!!!
Yeah, I don't read the middle part, but I think all that suffering is enought to hate someone for the eternity, althought that bastard beg and crawl with tears and runny nose (personnally I will never forgive him, my love for him will be turn to a anger/hate and I really want to kill him)
Oh, this manhua version has really good pictures.
Jing Shao & Hanzhang's faces match what I imagined when I read the novel, one is really manly & the other is bishounen.
Ha ha ha... (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
but I'm a little disappointed in this version of the manhua, Jing Shao has the impression of falling in love really fast.
at first ignorant then bummm ... full of attention. in the novel it's a bit different, originally they were already in prison and Hanzhang continued to accompany Jing Shao and for a long time! That's what made Jing Shao like Hanzhang and when they ran away, Hanzhang was already in a weak state, because in prison they were treated badly and it was winter and because he protected Jing Shao from being hit by arrows, only then did he die. One of the sad moments in my opinion was, when Hanzhang asked Jing Shao to just leave him so that Jing Shao could run away, Hanzhang thought that he would only become Jing Shao's burden. So in the novel you can really feel the feeling and not be confused, why does Jing Shao care so much about Hanzhang. That's all I am not satisfied with the manhua version, besides that everything is good and I am also grateful that one of my favorite novels has been made into Manhua. ヾ(☆▽☆)
I really love that you’ve told us about how it went down in the novel! I was thinking that his switch turned almost too easily.
I understand why they shortened it in the manhua for readers to be immersed in the plot faster, but they really left out the character development. I hope the fast pacing was only for the prologue and first chapter and won’t continue on in the story. I’ve read too many manhua adaptions of my favourite novels that just plow through the plot at the expense of character development and drama (*cough* To be or not to be *cough*)

You're welcome ヾ(☆▽☆)
So true. To add to this, in the novel, Jing shao only began to see how precious mu hanzang was based on their time in prison as well as their escape. He only started to fall in love during thier next life, therefore his feelings are much more genuine as they went from gratitude, admiration and finally love. Its a freaking slow burn romance (▰˘◡˘▰)
But im grateful for this adaptation as it opened up the world of webnovels to me. When i realized it had a novel i had to find it and read it I urge you guys to do so as well (=・ω・=)
