yeah same question. sometimes i wonder if it's maybe because the art is really nice that it seems so popular?

i tried to get into it so bad because i like groveling stories and but i found the mc to be annoying bruh but then again i'm just not into those weak pretty boy mcs so that's on me lol

It only got popular bc its bj Alex's author tbh. Idk why but that story is somehow everyone's first dive into BL manhwa so when the news of a new manhwa from them got out it became this huge deal that even bleed outside of the manga/manhwa community and a lot of non readers started Jinx. And well.. we kinda know how people got hooked with toxic BLs when its their first (ex. killing stalking)
In all honesty Jinx is just an exaggerated version of BJ Alex. It's a mediocre love story of a pushover guy and am asshole who treats him like garbage just to have mid redemption arc and call it a day

Jinx is garbage and the author, let's face it, rides of the fame BJ Alex got when their stories are a narrative mess and full of toxic rapist tropes.
The art is pretty, I'll give them that but I genuinely can't stomach Jinx and been stuck on chapter 46 since forever now bc I physically can't.
I rather read something else with a good story or an abusive story where it's actually written as something bad instead of glorified toxicity.
Fun fact, I also never finished BJ Alex lol, I read some chapters but the writing is not engaging tbh
I found myself loving other authors so much more that get criticized a lot.
Killing Stalking was rough but I do appreciate that the author was clear that this was not a BL but a psycho suspense.
The most infuriating thing is Jinx is supposed to be a romance story
So eventually all will be forgiven and we're supposed to root for them? Yeah not in a million years, wake me up when Dan finds a better partner and grows a backbone while he's at it.
