The reason why the portrayal of dehumanization in this story feels so raw is because you just KNOW this is something that could seriously 100% happen sometime soon in real life with technology moving the way it is and that is if it's not ALREADY happening and we just don't know it. There's a LOT of rich people who have enough money and corruption to get shit like this done/made under wraps for their own depraved amusement. AI is already being used for awful things involving children and god knows what else could happen. We're literally living in black mirror.
for me it's:
"Koi wa ochitara" (and it's sequel)
"majo to neko"
"mother spirit" (both volumes)
"Toumei na Ai no Utsuwa"
it's always amzing when I find stories where yes they do indeed havesexy time but they still manage to make the couple's relationship feel so warm and tender. The more single the story makes me feel the better
also has anyone here attended one of these? I just got invited to one I'm struggling to come up with a silly topic ( ̄∇ ̄")
Maybe do a presentation where you pretend you and your friends are a part of the hunger games? So like pick which district everyone’s from, say what they do when in the game, who dies, who kills people…ect. Maybe that will be fun. I feel like the best presentations are the ones that include everyone, not only themselves
so many things to point out all in one chapter
1st I cried, and I cried a LOT with yui's backstory I cannot stand children suffering. That experience must have so fucking scary I can't even imagine.
2nd other times when I see a story with a child involved it always feels like the child is
just an extra that comes along and that the other person is not AS attached to it as
their bio parent or guardian is but that was NOT the case with kaisei. That man loves that
little girl. He protects her, misses her when she's away, wants to understand her and be understood by her and validates and respects her feelings.
3rd literally jiu: "I don't want to spring such an important desition on such a young child
and I WANT to keep her with me but it's better to take things slowly and build a proper relationship"
LITERALLY THE DAD THAT SAME FUCKING DAY: "You wanna come live with me?" (proceeds to lose her in a mall right away) THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GET THE CHILD
