Okay character development ml. However what I don’t like was that when the mc and him were having sex, he juts penetrated without condoms or properly stretching. I mean you don’t want to cause harm to the mc who is visibly in pain

I completely agree that these manhwas tend to have rape as the starting point of the relationship between the characters. But tbh these manhwas are my top favourite along with Beware of the full moon in march just because the plot is well written and the mc are just as powerful as the mls (in their own way given the situations they get put in) all these manhwas are based on novels so maybe that’s why they have a heavy interesting plot (and dark) rather then the cliche storylines.It’s unfortunate that most bls have rape including POTN, Jinx, Night Song and don’t even get me started on Pearl Boy and the amount of traumatic materials in that manhwa and these are the top bls that dominated this genre for the past few years and the fans are going farel over these love stories and no one talks about the amount of sa’s in these kind of manhwas. I feel like we can rarely escape rape in bls but I personally prefer rape that occurs at the start of the relationship where the ml is a crazy psycho and rape is used as an act of power like anime’s to lovers kind of relationship just because we get to see character development of mls their struggle to come in terms of their feelings (when they fall first) and the change in their behaviour once they do! tbh I would have loved too see crazy psycho character like Zhenya without the rape like how hard could it be to create a psycho that still considers consent ffs the closest one I came across that made me a bit more forgiven of the character is Beware of the full moon in march just because of the heavy focus on character development and acknowledging the rape in the second season.

I honestly could stomach it once it happened once or two times. But being held hostage and you can rape them whatever and there’s no way you can escape. Yeah I really liked the tension in all of the manhwas I’ve mentioned(Rose and Champagne is straight up crazy, is he the first seme to shoot the Ukraine and then rape him?)

MY DEAR IM READING CHAPTER 10, THE ML IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE, from cheating on his girlfriend to taking the mc I lowkey think that Anastasia in the early chapters is better cuz there’s chemistry. Bro if he raped Mohkwa just like that, doesn’t that mean he easily did it to others??

I didn’t think there was violent rape after they got to the island, Teakjoo didn’t really view it as being kidnaped but he still wanted to leave the island because deep down he viewed escaping as an act of power he wanted to take his power back by escaping the island that Zhenya told him was impossible to escape from he also acknowledged that being and he questioned his sexuality throughout the whole time he was there because he didn’t mind having sex with Zhenya and he hated that feeling. I completely agree! I can’t stomach what Ceasor did he shot then raped the mc for days while still recovering from the gunshot and was basically in fated condition just because he loved him and was scared of abandonment, they were romantically involved at that point and had formed a connection which makes what he did hell worse than Zhenya.

I know I struggled with the first chapters as well the rape was so violent ( two rape scenes in the manhwa) the ml is a cheater and straight out a maniac but his character development is so satisfying and will melt your heart! I struggled with the first few chapters and dropped it then went back to the manhwa after the roses and champagne trauma and loved it so much. It gets better once that first motel scene happens

What about the girlfriend? Does he do right by her or did the story basically just forget her?

She breaks up with him later over text messages, she doesn’t have any involvement in the storyline

I’m in chapter 46 and it did get better however what irks me is that the ml gets frustrated when the mc doesn’t respond and takes it out on loved ones

Another thing that was heartbreaking to know was that the ml raping mc wasn’t the first time and it was common place in prison

Also is the mc’s boss a bad guy cuz I have the feeling he set up both situations where mc got in prison? Like the job he introduced had the incident that reminded him of his niece and he was the one that told the mc that nieces boyfriend was planning to rape her.

Yeah exactly bro was so frustrated cause his golden dinner date with the mc got cancelled he thought he made progress with the mc but got smacked with a reality check lol it felt great to see him not get his way but felt bad for the boys.

Oh that part about the mc’s past in prison had me sobbing which explains why he had that unusual chill reaction after the rape in the early chapters and why he said rape is just another form of violence and the pain will pass. Just heartbreaking that he never experienced love and affection that comes from intimate relationships the ml really messed up but it’s so satisfying seeing him pull every trick in the book and completely simping over the mc. The end of season two is so heartwarming tho!

I have the same suspicions probably wanted the mc to fall deeper in the gang world and to depend on him more and wanted to be the only one on his side, I think he’s obsessed with the mc did you see how he threw that Kim guy in the ocean because he attached the mc! he’s definitely gonna be an obstacle in their relationship.

So to the northerners, Frieren is a bombastic elf onee-san, Himmel is a stocky noble looking warrior(as frieren explained in new chapter, nobles in the north don't care about elegance and althat), Heiter,, i guess cus a saintess like figure symbolizing the goddess religion is preferred while Eisen is an idealized version of a dwarf warrior, very traditional looking warrior dwarf design.
