Your examples were not at all the same, nanjo was aware that it would happen and it wasn’t a threat. He just wants the twink and was willing to accept what he needed to do for that. Problem is, it was something not very favorable because he doesn’t like mokyeon. Which was not at all necessary either because he isn’t even taking into account the twink’s feelings even though he introduced nanjo to mokyeon in the first place for a reason. So again, it’s not rape because he consented and agreed, he just wasn’t enjoying it much because dislikes mokyeon. Disliking the sex does not mean it was rape, he never wanted to stop in the middle of it (during the first two rounds before the deal was complete). Mokyeon said it seemed like rape because he was doing all the work while nanjo wasn’t really complying. Which he followed up with saying it takes two people to have sex.

Rape isn't just "physically and violently forcing someone to fuck" it can be done by deceiving and by manipulating the person into having sex with you. Because it’s the original, while it might not be added to the manhwa it doesn’t change the fact that it had other horrific scenes. He was still raped and beat up in both the “outdated” and revised version at the end of the day which is not defendable. Of course you’re still free to read it but I wanted to show the reason why it sparked some controversy and the people denying it.

I feel like we're way past the point of defending. Most of the people here are just here for a fucking nut. I mean it's great to clarify that there was certain content that has been revised and all but this iteration of the story is no longer accurate to the version we will be shown with the manhwa. And it's hard for me to feel any sympathy for the people who are aghast because they chose to read an outdated, pirated version of the novel.

It been revised so much and frequently and I am pretty certain this will be revised. I took it as everyone and everything is horrendous and terrible. I don’t think the author or concept novel regardless of adaption even knew where it was going. It was like throwing a bunch of spaghetti on a wall and seeing what sticks. This will probably feel this way too. The art is nicely drawn though. I do not ever hold my breath to not shock me or give me the icky feelings. I still enjoy the thriller and messed up. To me, It feels like it’s leaning towards BL fan service but wants to also take it seriously as a psych thriller revenge story but then porny element mixed with the cutest element is all over the place.
