I have my fears about what happened in that car. I can't but worry that Alek will suggest a sex-buddy sort of relationship in the next chapter and that Lee for some reason agreed. Or maybe he just suggested they see more of each other- get "to know each other better". Either way Lee because of his crush and despite of what just happened, probably agreed.
But I can't say I really like Alek at all. Never mind his reasons for not wanting a relationship, but he definitely led Lee on. Which begs the question, why exactly does Lee have crush on him anyway? Just because of his looks? The fact that Alek has a "nice" vibe? That last might even be more due to Lee's image of Alek than Alek himself.

Kaida keeps calling and referring to Shunya as a kid. Since he's 20 that is obviously an exaggeration. And I'm beginning to find his insistence on doing so more than a little tiresome. Especially when a serious subject like sex and love comes up between them. But it would mean that in a way Kaida never really took Shunya seriously, he was just that adorable kid that tagged after him and made him feel better. He never really thought about Shunya's feelings much. And now he would prefer their relationship to stay in the cutsie way he remembers it.
So, while it may be true to life, it doesn't say much good about Kaida that at an age of 30+ he doesn't realize that what he wants is not only selfish, but for Shunya to remain a child.

Enjoying the story and looking forward to seeing where it goes. But that conversation at the coffee shop about how the seme knew things about the uke and so by definition took an interest, had me going "what?". So by default people are totally self-absorbed and don't know anything about anybody they aren't interested in? Sure there are some like that, but I would say most people generally know something about the people that are around them every day, even if they don't have any particular interest in them.

You were probably confused by the wording. "You can only know that if you're interested in them," by interest, I believe he meant romantic interest and in Kangwoo's case, the friend mentions how he's usually apathetic of others around him "Never told me what he thought of other people," but when it comes to Doyoon, Kangwoo becomes very attentive and even talks about him with his friend which is unbecoming of his character. He's not saying that you can only know things about people you're interested in, it's that you become more hyper aware of the details (whether minor or substantial) of the person you have feelings for. I can understand how you misunderstood though 'cause the wording is a bit weird, but don't take it so literally.

I wasn't confused by the wording, and that we were to draw the more positive inference from the conversation was obvious. But look at the examples they gave. The way the MC works, and that sort of thing, the kind of thing most co-workers are bound to notice if they pay attention to other people, especially their subordinates. Nor did I say that they said that anything about people being self-absorbed. But they did use "someone" making it a generalized statement, and the examples were of such impersonal nature that it doesn't take much effort to notice. It could be a fault in translation for the first part, but I would still have liked something a little more personal than how the MC works. I would expect a superior to notice that whether or not he had personal interest in him.

While I like the characters and the story in general, the latest plot arch feels like it is being milked for all its worth. Every little drop of emotion that can possibly is being wrung out of the situation besides trying to makie it drag on for as long as possible. Except at some point the constant high emotional tension just lasts that moment too long, like a high note that goes on for a little too long and you would now just like to plug your ears for relief. It will become even worse if the story does what many have done and just follow up with a new arch with more tension right after. I hope not. I was really enjoying both the characters and their story.
I just reread this to get back into it, and the flashback seems to go on forever. I mean why are we having a flashback? At this point I still don't feel like I've learned something that was vital to the future story. Sure it is nice to get the background but not if it interrupts the flow of the main story. Or is it interrupting? Were the first few chapters a bad intro to the actual story? That is the problem of starting at one point in the timeline and then suddenly going back if there's no real reason. I was more interested in the adult MC's and their problems, and now find this extended trip down memory lane into a high-school yaoi better have a purpose because I will be really annoyed.
I would probably far more have enjoyed these same chapters if they had been told chronologically.
