The cursed bracelet comes from Anubis's arm that was cut by Seth before his transformation into a god. His arm was cursed because the night Osiris possessed Anubis(the same night Seth was raped by Horus), Seth used his weapon (khopesh) containing the cursed souls of every innocent women and he had killed. When Osiris disappeared, Isis couldn't cure Anubis's arm. The severed arm and his wound couldn't resist the curse and Nephtys took Anubis's arm to make the bracelet.
I think they gave him the bracelet because it will make him feel all the suffering every person he has killed is feeling. Seth has broken the cycle of life and death by turning every soul he has killed into a weapon.
For him to lift the curse he has to retrieve every soul he has killed and restore the cycle of life and death.
