I see, so is that why he was so pissed of? Because, honestly, by reading the comments here saying that he didn't want it to be uploaded because of credits and stuff, calling it basically "stealing" was way off.
I mean, we, as readers in an online website and the scanlation groups are, basically, "stealing". It's piracy.
So saying that others websites are stealing his hard work is kind of hypocrite, since he is stealing as much as we are all doing so, the hard work of several mangakas, since we don't pay them and still read it. But what the mangakas lose is money, so I would say that their loss is way bigger.
But since scanlating licensed series carries a very huge risk, do you think someone will scan the pages, or would you know a website to buy it outside the US?

that's the excuse his followers are giving. the truth is he wants people viewing his site. want to keep his followers and numbers growing. look all the mangas here with english license and none of the scan groups force nor make fans to go to their sites to read it. they only ask to credits be respected, etc., as it should.

and if you're going to make something illegal, you shouldn't be a pussy. experts know how to make fun of copy rights and don't get caught. if you're an inexpert and get coward, then don't get in. this is the internet.

well you can try scroll down and read Junki's comment. They offered the way to buy the series without having to pay shipping cost

actually the ones losing big money is the publishing companies not mangakas. the pb had already paid mangakas for their work. mangakas only lose royalty money.

Really? But, I mean, they probably gain as much as they sell, so each person who reads a manga without buying it is technically taking away their money, no? Because, why would the publishing company pay them for the work they didn't sell, but got stolen?

I was off a couple of weeks and I´m kind of lost. What's happening?

We lost the translator for Junjou Romantica and Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi. Shit went down he got pissed cause some people reuploaded his work and he refuses to make his translations public anymore.

i'll just speak for myself, i'm a cleaner/typesetter and i spend so much of my free time cleaning manga especiallyy when it's a heavy sfx one like JR and SIH. and then after all that hard work myy releases got posted on other sites with them missing myy watermarks and credit page........ of course i would be hella pissed.
ps: i'm not the scanlator of SIH and JR, i just sayy what i feel(i kind of understand his feelings)

I would be to if I was translating and put my name on it but stopping completely because 1 or 2 fans fucked it up for everyone I dont think I would go that far I would be hella pissed but I dont think I would altogether stop translating.

So bad what happened to the translator, it's way too wrong to take the work of the other without giving him/her the respective credits and it feels even worse when you're doing it for free.

Even summaries are good and we can follow along with a raw. SiH is licensed so that wasn't as big of a loss as JR which will not be licensed by Sublime.

well basically you'll need Photoshop CS3 and you can get the tutorials everywhere

Do you have a tumblr account? If you do, go to this page: http://chidorinoyume.tumblr.com/ This person is one of the translator for Ten Count. Go to the section that said Ask on the top of the tumblr page. Just tell her that you offered to translate some chapters of a popular manga. However, you need some advice about how to do this. Maybe she will be kind enough to give some advice. Just don't mention that the chapters you offered to translate are JR and SIH. If you do, there's a chance she may not offer you any advice.

second, I think your best bet if you dont want to go it alone is to find current open scan groups that seem like they'd help with the request. I look at newly translated bl credit pages for scan groups, or any your familiar with. Sals Scan https://salsscans.wordpress.com/ seems open to proposals!

Dont push yourself too much tho, just translating text is great ^-^
