I'm not looking for a list, but I would like to see your well -reasoned answers as to what series you considered the most romantic and why. The definition of romance varies for all of us, for me, it's because the story moved me, or the character's emotions felt true to the plot.
I'm going to start with my favorite Yaoi manga - Itoshi no Nekkoke (My Darling Kitten Hair). It's about two childhood friends, Miisaburo and Kei. Unknown to Kei-chan, Mii-kun has been in love with him pretty since much the day they met (and Kei gives Mii-kun his nickname). Eventually, Kei-chan finds out how Mii-kun feels about him - the evolution of their relationship, the fact that it grows in a natural manner and slowly, and the cast of side characters (including Mii-kun's disapproving grandmother, and some very nosy housemates, among others) give this story a sweetness, comedy and real emotional ring. The times when it does get sexy are sweet, funny and well - sexy. Oh, and it has cats in it - always a plus in my book.
The most romantic one ive read drives people crazy...but its komatta toki ni wa hoshi ni kike ...I know its shounen ai and technically the romance is subtext, and it's pretty open ended but the level of intamacy and the relationship is just soo deep and beautiful and the subtext is soo full...and theres tons of romantic and sexual tension.
Don't get me wrong it's a funny concept but it's really gone on for far too long.
I agree. It's getting dry.
I'm just annoyed because the relationship between Kamiya and Iwabuchi can't progress. They've always been the pair I cared about more. I was hoping they'd at least be able to get their chinkos swapped back at the shrine... grr... starting all over again with a new chinko, and an obnoxious one at that.
