MC did say that he finds the emperor "dazzling" and he WAS briefly tempted by his body. Since he's not attracted to men by nature, I'd assume that he does like the emperor but he's too traumatized from being raped by his brother, not to mention the way his brother victim blamed and shamed him after raping him. "It's your fault for seducing me." "I'm not in the wrong." Even though he knows none of it is true, he can't help being bothered by that rapist's words. As a result, the MC denied the small flame of affection that he realized arose in him while drunk, thus setting the stage for the emperor forcing his unrequited love onto MC.
