this is edgy farcical trash. all the author is doing is projecting their desire to be saved through romance and other people being way more concerned with them than is realistic. im embarrassed to have even tried to read this, so ill stop here.
Perhaps the problem lies within you and not in 'edgy farcical trash'. The wording made me wonder what types of stories you enjoy and what makes those "less edgy" than this one. I am not surprised to find that most of them are simply about sex. I am not judging you simply wondering why you decided to go into a comment section to make someone feel bad about liking this, because as you call it it's "embarrassing".
hey man, thank you for your thoughts on my thoughts. i think that the edginess lays within the storys dramatically anxious characters and the creepy romanticism of not using words to communicate when they are needed. i feel like the characters are very angsty.
i do not like this story one bit. it ticks all of my "dislike" boxes. it frustrates me to have read it. however, i do not think that my opinion reflects on people who are interested in the story and enjoy it. i wanted to express my feelings because that is what this work evoked from me. in that way, i like that this work exists because it has made me think and feel. in this case my feelings were negative, and i think that its okay to express that as long as i am not attacking anybody. i am sorry if it came across like i was attacking you for your opinion on the story.
whilst you say that you arent judging me, you seem to imply that im shallow and dont have the capacity to understand complex stories since i read things that are "simply about sex". on this website i have read over 900 works that range from simple porn and smut to complex explorations of self-identity and the meaning of life. my favourite genre of books is murder mystery (i love Agatha Christie). im happy that i am able to explore a different range of genres depending on what i want at the time. i would like to recommend you some of my favourite titles if you would like to receive them.
once again, i would like to make it clear that i wanted to express my feelings about this work. it is not what i think of other people.
Appreciated. To be real honest I just wanted to see if you'd get defensive, I am pleasantly surprised. I thought you were implying that everyone who reads this should be embarrassed about it, glad I misunderstood. It's good that you can back up your opinion and even though I don't quite understand you completely, I think it's interesting. I will read your favourite story, our tastes seem to be opposing but it's kind of fascinating to me.
thanks for trying to understand me man :) it goes a long way.
here are a few of my recommendations. no need to follow up on me with any of them but if you want to send me your own recommendations i would be very pleased to receive them.

and if we're talking agatha christie...it has to be poirot!
ive never had a partner but i think that i have a biting fetish. this story has reminded me that sharing your fetishes and guilty pleasures is the same as opening up your chest and showing your heart - the person who sees that is somebody that you want to trust. for them to reject you for something so 'you', would be like stabbing you right in the heart that you chose to expose.
ogeretsu tanaka changed quite a few key points of this manga from the monthly magazine serialisation to its release as a full volume (tankoubon) in 2017. i havent reread this manga for quite some time now so i dont remember much of the plot, but i do rememeber feeling that the changes in the full volume resolved a lot of conflict that i had with the original.
as far as im aware, the version on here is from the magazine scans. if youre interested in reading the full volume (tankoubon) version, heres a link to the scanlators post: http://seraphic-deviltry.com/2015/11/07/neon-sign-amber-eng/
if you love this manga, youll love the live action :) whilst adachi isnt as dry as he is in the manga and hes a little cuter, he still retains his humour and thoughtfulness. kurosawa isnt as perverted and hes also a little cuter- boy is his actor dangerous...i think that you can definitely enjoy the manga and live action as separate entities or together - theyre similar but the different formats make me feel different kinds of warmth. the live action reaches the end of the manga too. you can find it on kissasian.
it was refreshing to try and figure out koiwais background with the phone strap and why he was apprehensive about dating yamashita even though we were reading from his point of view when these incidents occurred. im not sure what this technique of perspective is called, but it feels like the author wrote an omniscient narration with a switching focus between the main characters. this way the author could choose what information to reveal whilst still keeping an intimate connection with the reader. most BL is narrated as if the reader is in the characters head and so theres no surprise and any exposition falls flat.
the whole time i still had faith in koiwai to be a nice person (low expectations for romance manga lol), but i was scared that id receive unsatisfactory answers to the inquests above - much like when i read other BL that tries to use the same technique. the simple human depth of both characters was wonderful, especially koiwai as we followed him the most. i enjoyed both characters a lot and i want to both be and have a yamashita. man, do i want a yamashita.
i have chills man...im so excited to see this play out. i cant remember the name of the MP but i love how so far its been snippets of how his treks play out.
i love the idea of the checkpoint power since it takes a lot of forethought and consideration regarding when to use it. the biggest 'weakness' is making a checkpoint too late. why not make one every hour then? that results in making loads of checkpoints- but you can only go back to the most recent one. so im glad that the MP has come to yuju for help on a solution. i think that his power is one that works best in a team, but he cant risk trusting others willy-nilly.
so now a liability is his trust in yuju. yet, i think that hes right to trust her. the end of season 1 showed that the MP was losing psychological strength from having to relive a disaster that he couldnt solve so, so many times. yuju helped him to look outside of the box in a way that you cant do alone especially when time only goes forward.
yuju helps him, but she could still turn against him, right? considering that yuju found out about the MPs power earlier on in the series (as we're reminded of in season 2 ep 1 she can detect when a checkpoint happens) it suggests that shes not tried to betray the MPs secret since. im glad that theyre a team; its like they share the power, albeit unbalanced.
more than what id like to admit of myself is scared that our protagonists will have a romantic relationship that will absorb and rupture the whole story. however, i have faith that the author can write a healthy relationship that perhaps can even enhance the overall problem-solving that revolves around setting checkpoints as it has so far.
thank you so much for the scanlation too :) please make sure to take a break.
