I just want him to leave there but at the same time like the outside world definitely isn't the best either. Seeing how they already have this whole system up and everyone is already "brainwashed" to stay, in these harsh conditions, I don't think MC has enough power to actually make something different. I'm so on edge about the future god dangit.
Also, the woman he saw on the storage area, was she an accomplice of the theft? I'm so sad for Wooju.

What makes you think they’re brainwashed? It’s more than likely that they suffered through a situation that taught them this was the best course of action. Not killing him means no one thinks it’s that big of a deal, so they might try again. Then what happens when there aren’t anymore supplies and they’re in a real dire situation? And if they let him go out of town, who’s to say he won’t grow to resent them for it and try to get revenge either by snitching to outsiders or leading a hire of zombies inside? There’s not one good answer in a world where everyone is trying to survive with little resources. I’m curious to see what turn this story will take, though.

I don't mean the literal sense of being brainwashed. It's more in the sense of conditioned (i.e operant conditiong), ig? In that harsh system. That's why I put it in air quotations cuz I couldn't find the word for it earlier.
Also, nowhere did I voice out opinions about the punishment being wrong or unjust nor did I say their system was wrong, it's a post apocalyptic world after all, having rules is the best to have order. That's why I don't know where that latter half of your statement come from.

I assumed you felt it was wrong or unjust because you called them brainwashed, as though they wouldn’t otherwise make that decision. I personally think they either went through something bad enough in the past, which is what prompted them to vote this way, or they’re just scared to vote anything different. I’m just always thrown by the ML because he was crying as he killed him and I think he just feels things very deeply even as he does what he feels is necessary.

I think so too, that's why I said brainwashed (but meant to say conditioned) cuz ML was making a flashy example of the guy, it definitely wasn't the first. That's definitely why the doctor and almost everyone was also on edge, cuz they've seen how harsh their system was based on past examples (just like Wooju's dad who is now another example for other citizens)
I also agree with the ML things. He definitely doesn't feel good with killing his people, even as he did the punishment, he was still partially taking the blame. If anything, I even feel like he's one of the most affected by the punishments as he's the one doing it despite obviously not wanting it. And he always states how important this city and its people is for him. I think he's just doing it this way (very harsh and brutal) cuz he needs to have an iron fist to create order in their city.

The new omega part timer introduced by Naoto's story looks like he'll be another character in the story. Maybe he'll be ML's bff's love interest? I'm also looking forward to the story of the teacher's little brother and his manager. Of course I'm also all in for their marital life! Gosh, I hope this continues on for another year or two. (✧Д✧)YES!!

Seems like Taesoo was the toddler/baby in ch 21, the part where prosecutor and a doctor was talking abt a pill that turns betas into omegas and turns recessive omegas to fertile ones. His father must've been the one being dragged by the police which made him an orphan. That would also explain the cut on his stomach, being born as an alpha then turning into an omega during his teenage years. Bro has been thru it since he was a baby. (◞ ‸ ◟ㆀ)

Lately I've been reading lots of MLs that are constipated with their feelings. I feel healed inside seeing Jungwoo easily come to terms with his feelings despite being straight and having girlfriends before, he didn't even let a second pass by and acted on his feelings the moment he realized it's genuine and serious. Now he even came out just like that so there wouldn't be problems in the future and so Jiwon would be more assured. Dang, I felt relief all over. I'm so surprised tho cuz Jungwoo definitely gave off asshole toxic seme vibes before we saw his POV.
Wtf, Chanton? Is that the heir guy from the south? I thought he was chill, thought he was gonna double cross the empress why he out here assassinating the prince?! ಠ_ಠ That's treason, mi hot lord.
I feel he's just trying to gain the empress' trust and that's how he's gonna do it.
Agreed...
If he really wanted to kill prez he could have done more damage for sure.
