Like others have said this is a pretty middling story at best. Shame as there was a lot of potential and Sigmund actually has a really great backstory/character and familial flaws setup. But yeah for the main couple the reasons they get together are just too much externally motivated so it feels really off. The only thing resolved was them getting together and nothing else sadly.

Absolutely loved this. I do find it interesting that Robert was so obsessed as being and 'creating' as a Maestri compared to as a human. Maybe because they are different but when you start as an artist you generally don't lose that - the older Maestri's from the country are a bit interesting because they truly feel like they weren't born from artistic obsession and the newer Maestri's showcase that more

This gave me so much anxiety that I did not expect at 1am half sleepy. But I thought it was a really interesting exploration of the characters, and the dialogues and panels were really compelling. As a character study lens I thought it was really well done - I think it actually explores a ton mentally and emotionally in such a nuanced manner. The body language, the lack of knowing, blaming external factors, etc.
I did also find the rape distasteful but to be honest (for lack of better words), putting it in there is a well placed choice because it feels heavy and actually not romanticized in that moment (follow up definitely could be better).
Nice to few comments along the same line but kindof surprised to see so many other comments like oh seme is bad, plot is bad? I personally feel like these are just way too heavily influenced by the rape being present or expectations that relationships have to be perfect/characters redeemed perfectly for a story to.be worthwhile, that we should end up feeling good in the end which equals a great story. And these kinds of comments seem like the exact same I would see on a very obviously smut with some plot stories... So it feels like people took it as something like that in the end and I'm of the complete opposite opinion. I am in agreement that the seme is still bad tbh, and there's no way love should've fixed this lol, but I'm not bothered that this is an interesting takeaway and many other types of things you can think about it from.
From the cover I was not expecting the story to turn out like this at all, I loved everything about it. And thank you to the translator for all the hard work! I enjoyed reading every note!
