Like the way Ninako kept on pursuing Ren even though she knew he had a partner was a bitchy move and the way Ren didn't push away Ninako even tho he knew she liked him was a dick move.If Ren wasn't in a relationship it would have been good but nope he's in a relationship so I am baffled to see y'all calling this a cute story just because we got some cute scenes between them thrown here and there, did y'all really forget the existence of Mayuka or what?

ig cuz eventually u see that ren n mayuka's relationship regressed to the point where they were just in love with the thought of what it should be . mayuka was afraid of changes nd was unable to accept the fact that feelings and people change and sometimes you just can't blame them for that . eventually i feel that ren made it his responsibility to be a constant for mayuka , chaining himself w/ his ideals . they obv loved each other lots but at some point they realized that it just wouldn't work out . also ninako didn't rlly make any passes at ren , she established the fact that she liked him but she didn't expect anything more nd she never tried to overstep her boundaries as far as i recall . she didn't try to monopolize his attention or prevent him from being with mayuka , she tried her best to be his friend . nd ren also established the fact that he had a girl and that he wouldn't be able to have feelings for her and bc she didn't ask for anything more than just being friends then i'd say that's fine (?)

But still I felt sorry for Mayuka
The fl didn't pursue the ml directly but she still didn't move on from the ml even after getting rejected and kept on insisting to be his friend knowing the fact that she still liked him ALOT(like if my partner was still friends with someone who had confessed to them and still liked them,I would be hella insecure)
I mean yeah I liked their interactions cause they were cute but the plot still felt MEH to me
