If you look at it from Eugene's pov it doesn’t really seem like a big deal. I don’t think Eugene really liked Woojin. It was more like she liked how Woojin treated her. So she couldn't stand seeing Woojin treat someone else just as same. So she began to hate her even if she didn’t want to. She didn’t actively participate in spreading the rumours so it seemed to her that it was ok to do what she did. Particularly the fact that she didn’t know how bad the rumours got may also be the reason why she felt that way and didn’t clarify it at all.
Also not to forget how she is treated like an object by her trashy boyfriend so it’s only normal to like a guy who treats you nicely. See how both the girls who acted like a 'bitch' were in toxic relationship with trashy people. Romantic relationship really affects people a lot. So doing shitty things to other people might not seem like a big deal to her when it actually is

I've finished reading it. And yeah you are right. The "happy" ending was a total let down. The author could have made it a lot better. This story kind of a little waste of time, but still thank you for a good read. Haha! See you around!
