All I really know so far is that the first scene you ever see is of Maki firing the dude's dad. Maki is really only sleeping with the dude so that he himself doesn't feel bad about having to fire people and "ruin their lives" and the other guy is probably just trying to manipulate him to then drop him to ruin his life. But instead, it all turns into a romance and somehow we are supposed to believe that these guys will end up and fall in love with each other despite the rape and just overall manipulation. This is all I understand so far.
