Basically he tried hard to get her into the worst position to finally betray her publicily now at the paternity test ceremony.

I think that people are getting confused. The evil child seems to be the bastard child of the blonde evil dude. The one with the pink hair wife. That's why he is supporting financially the evil child. I don't think is the child of the king.

He was basically a pedo pervert who likely SAed women under the guise of "cleansing rituals" which he conducted because these women were apparently "being consumed by evil", killed the lover of the first princess for having a child before marriage (though I think it has more to do with the pope lusting after the princess and the lover being a commoner knight pissed him off), also used many commoners and homeless people as sacrifices... He had some power over the imperial family and he used it to commit the utmost vile acts. Nevermind his intentions because SA cannot be justified ┗( T﹏T )┛
His next target was our dear MC, who used her brain to help the princess get revenge on the pope and at the same time shift the blame to Axios without getting Greze as well as the imperial family involved in the Pope's death

In the novel, the ML and that homewrecker btc did it without being drunk. I think the author in this new version changed it so that it will be a "mistake" and that the ML could redeem himself.
I think that someone was just lying about the story cause this manga has no novel is an original story.
