Im taking this explanation from a BL wattpad book I read, and its like how if someone was abused for a long time, and then they get out of it, they want to be in control and boss others around since it happend to them all the time and they use how they were abused in the past as an excuse and to justify what they're doing, if that makes any sense.

I always thought jay would fall in love with daniel and even if he doesnt end up with him he still endures it and is happy if daniels happy and would suffer and all that just to keep daniel happy. So jays the protective tall bean while daniels trying to be a better person and experience things in a better light rather than remember bad things and regret stuff. Eveyone in the manhwa has this thing to them which makes them all light must protec because of their backstorys and some of them are like aw ok or ohhh ok i see or like .. i dont know thats how I see it? [They should kiss] jay and daniel even if they dont form a relationship [they should get married] it may not matter because daniel might not end up with anyone? So [that leaves him all open for jay to steal his heart] either way win win?
I would love if the author did a plot twist, or a short side story for Jay and Daniel, but there is probably a small percentage of that happening. The author definitely knows about us shipping the two handsome angels together, and how he isn't going to make that happen, making our ship sink in the sea.
