I’m guessing that he was so scared from being violated as a child that he thought he’d been rapped. He’s constantly try to forget that the Kenji who was kind to him could do this. Naturally his mental state of mind only remembers the sensation of touch, but he’s probably forgotten that Kenji never went through with what he did because of the shock of being pinned down and violated.
It’s really easy actually to not know. I was molested for years as a child and even after two years of thinking on it and trauma processing I still can’t remember if I was actually raped or not. To be fair, I was attacked in my sleep most of the time but the point is that it’s really easy for the brain to just block stuff like that out so you might remember things wrong. Or not at all.
