MC isn't a push over, despite being able to endure pressure n ppl being rude to him, that's this his skills after enduring n doing so many jobs. He ends up making everyone likes him because of how smart and enduring he is. If being pushed too hard, he'll bite back.
ML is a major green flag, he hasn't slept for who know how long (purposely because of the King as he hates him n keeps edging him/wanting ML to be dead) so he may come off as rude at the beginning.
ML is a stundere, he's all tough but has soft spots for MC (he thinks MC is too weak, reminds him of his mother who's also weak).
Once he realizes he likes MC (not love yet cz he be thinking if he loves someone, it gotta be something dark twisted desire or something, like breaking/killing etc for love, he's in too many wars so excuse his dumb violence mindset) he becomes very clingy to MC, starts flirting 24/7 without realizing it.
ML is very kind n nice to MC overall in the story, the more he is w MC, the more MC becomes his no.1 priority. Near the end, the king poisons MC (the poison doesn't hurt MC, but will causes someone to die if they interact physically, esp through kiss) so ML ends up dying slowly in bed.
MC has to run around trying to find the antidote to cure ML, then even tries to help MC gather his soldiers n other ppl into doing a rebellion to overturn the King. But since MC doesn't want the citizens to be confused n hate ML for overturning the King (cz the King keeps good reputation for himself while being shady in the dark), MC needs a reason for a rebellion.
So MC sacrifices himself, running into the castle insulting the King so he can be captured n tortured (so ML can use MC as an excuse to rebel). Mind you, ML is still dying slowly in bed the whole time, so when he's finally recovered (MC knew this so he's waiting for ML's rebellion), he wants to rush over MC.
But his right-hand man stops him and lies to ML saying oh MC is safe, he's in the country side now, you should go and rest before you do anything. So ML ends up resting for over a week while MC is confused n scared whether or not ML cured yet?
MC gets tortured all the time ML getting rest. Then he later gets kidnapped and tortured even more by the Crown Prince (he wants to torture MC for fun n research first n if MC survives, he will rape him to see he's that interesting that ML liked him that much).
After ML is done resting, he goes to the King w his army to rebel, finds out the truth and gets so angry he doesn't even need to hear all of what the King wants to say. Just straight up cut off the King's head and cut his right-hand man's ear for tricking him because he has said multiple times that MC is very important to him so don't play w him.
They reunites, ML finds out abt what the Crown Prince did, while MC is sleeping for 3 days straight recovering. ML throws the Crown Prince in prison and personally tortures him then chop off his head n all other parts, then throw them in different places.
MC wakes up, they have their moments, other ppl wants ML to become King, ML doesn't want to, too many responsibilities, he just wants a quiet life and more time being w MC. But since ML is part of the royal family and he has already killed the last royal member (oh yea the King killed off ML's family to ensure his position while torturing ML ever since) and MC also convinces ML to becomes King. ML becomes King and grants MC's family reputation back so he can marry him and make him his Queen.
ML does not give a fuck about ppl's opinions, MC will be his Queen no matter what

If it ain't for MC's n ML's established feelings n relationships already, I would hateeee the story.
Any MC who's naive, pathetic, gullible, desperate and worse struggling af but still delulu enough to hold onto their crush smh. I hate everyone attacking him and him being naive af getting bad then worse situations.
ML's attitude at 1st didn't help either. Thank god, it ain't 1 sided and they both expressed their feelings n love.
MC is kinda dumb when it comes to dealing w the ML lol. Overall, good story, not alot of drama, if there's any drama mostly due to MC being overly nice n forgiving that other (esp those who r jealous of him) take advantage of it.

ML is exactly any obsessed ML would be also w very high sex drive. But he doesn't really force himself too much onto MC. He has alot of funny moments due to how unhinged he is lol (if MC cares too much abt going to school, ML would be jealous n want to blow up the school). He has been waiting for a chance to sweep MC away n it was during the students meeting n MC got so drunk, he fell into ML's arms n called him pretty.
Original bottom also loves MC cz he's nice to him (but ML got jealous so he broke his bones)

In think if we go with the og novel, ML mostly like og bottom like those "you're interesting for talking back at me etc" type of trope and ML is a controlling freak, also in og novel, ML mostly treats og bottom like an object that he can have sex with (not to mention he's a playboy originally).
Now in current story, MC got transmitted into the novel since he was born, up until he's about to accept the contract to work w ML (they were still kids at that time), that he remembered his past life. So he refused the offer n went different routes. MC was nice n patient to ML when they 1st met which was new to MC as everyone either r scared of him or want to use him for his powers. Due to MC's influence, ML gets obsessed w MC since he was a kid n doesn’t become a playboy (tho he has rumors of it) and since MC was introduced as his personal guide n ML likes him, he expected to be pair w MC but MC refused after gaining his memory back. Which confused ML and made him very mad, so it just amplify his obsession.

No hate but I saw someone said there's more information and details in the novel. So I read the novel and the artist indeed took away A LOT of information.
Like why chapter 1 literally skips 3 whole chapters in the novel tfff?
The ML also has more emotions and thoughts shown in the novel than here. There's barely any details about the overall relationships between characters when the artist draw this.
Original thing, novels, have more depth. These adaptations are usually not good and often toned down or stray from original, unfortunately. I’d always prefer reading novel first if translation is available(not mtl).

Yea I try to read the novels whenever I'm interested in the stories but this one, the artist skips a lot of details. Like the characters (MC/ML) just exist without proper introduction, backgrounds and information.
There's also alot of things going on beside MC n ML stories, the King, ML's wife and the nobles in the palace. They have 0 or barely any mention in this adaptation

Gotta say sorry for suspecting those ppl but if that's really what they went through, their reactions are valid.
In this kind of world, being too kind is overkill, since you can never be able to control someone and adding despair, hunger, etc they will do anything to survive and there are ppl who end up being greedy when they're comfortable enough.
Having those bad ppl will also just cause more harm for others, so it's understandable to be on guard n not trust anyone at all, even if you want to help.
Another thing is ML has the mentality of a child, he's not able to think in many perspectives and sides yet, so ofc his way of thinking is very black n white "we don't have enough, so why bring alot of useless ppl who can't contribute into the community? It'll just drain our resources"
Teach in another hand is saved n and heavily protected by ML (also he lost his some memory) so he is able to keep his humanity and innocent, he hasn't really seen the how brutal n harsh the world has become and how it affects ppl when they're in their survival modes yet.
