It's irritating me how naive she's being. Doesn't she realize her actual life is at stake in that cutthroat place? But now it seems like she's blushing like a carefree girl just cuz some handsome dude is paying attention to her. Like girl, get your priorities right!
Her princess was killed right in front of her and now she's basically lying to the emperor. Her life is at stake if she makes a mistake but she's acting naive. Why is she acting like a girl with no worries when frankly she should be more aware of her situation? Did I say she doesn't feel emotions and wasn't human? So in her situation, would you care more about some pretty guy and blush blush or would you actually be worried about your life and be more careful?
That's what i meant. She has feelings and that's why she feels attracted to the guy. You can't just stop a feeling. Sure everyone would like to see a strong and smart FL and stuff but dude, she was originally a maid pretty much her whole life. Also, this is a drama/romance manwha, of course it's romance focused.
I think my dudes just tryna say most normal people would have their priorities straight when their life is on the line like she could literally be executed in a matter of minutes is she was exposed to the public, like imagine you were accompanying her as like a friend while in disguise and she's over here goofing, you'd probably be pissed, trying to find romance in a situation such as this is stupid but one can't exactly control when or why they fall for someone since you know she's human too (finna be a dead one if she don't get her priorities straight).
Actually, this is one of the better harems out there. The girls aren't all just airhead brainless bimbos and actually wield legitimate power. And even the current idiots get character development in the future. What I didn't quite like is that he ends up with 8 women and also an ambiguous extra woman. I mean he's not "with" her but still it's ambiguous enough that she gets called his mistress. This is just so unnecessary.
The teacher irritates me though but then again... I don't like naive characters who have ”good intentions” without thinking about the consequences. I suppose she gets better in the future so I'll see how I feel then.
Still it is one of the better harems in that it has actual character development in the future and that the girls aren't just cookie cutter characters. I especially like that the girls are strong enough to be able to battle beside him and are not just damsels that always need saving.
In alot of ways, it could be so much worse.
What's interesting about this is that basically every single character in this manga is boring except for the MC. (Oh and his mom, musn't forget his mom) But the MC keeps me going. He's rash, he's brash, sort of an idiot and totally unapologetic about any of it. That makes him fun. At this point I'm just reading it to see what he does and the reactions of the characters around him.
Urgh... I loved Adelaide in the beginning of this but this latest story arc is really making me hate her. Why is she torturing the Duke for no reason? If she wasn't certain of his feelings for her, why not just communicate with each other? Instead she's acting out her own story drama like an entitled little brat. The whole emotional manipulation and display makes me cringe. He doesnt deserve this especially considering what he's been through with women before.
Good grief! This actually makes the situation of the original Chloe even sadder. She was mistreated and never learned how to stand for herself let alone think about saving her husband. Meanwhile, Alphonse's father destroyed his empathy and he closed his heart. It was a marriage that was always going to fail without any hope. Both of them were broken and traumatized and unfortunately, no one was able to help the original Chloe.
God I've actually read the novel but the amount of cliffhangers this webcomic gives me is insane.
