Now for the controversial part, I feel bad for the gramps. Imagine seeing someone you loved so much coming back and saying "I loved you but I travelled and met your grandson and I fell for him because I didn't remember you. But I'm back to break up with you precisely because I time travelled and fell for your grandson."
Thay shit would hurt so fucking bad. I loved the story, but I hated the ending. I hated the grandpa's lover Troupe. My boy shiro lost his first love, kikujirou lost his love, kou who forgot his original love and fell for the one who resembled his love... The part where shiro goes "subconscious memories are really strong, eh" hit me so bad. Kou said he's a monster, but really he's just a tragic character.
But what really makes me dislike the amnesia Troupe, despite me consuming it like wild, is the love interest change. Esp like this. Kikujirou did nothing wrong, why does he need to see his love disappear and reappear just to tell him "I'm sorry, get married, love your fam" ???

Tbh what I saw from the commenter in their original comment, was that they were explaining more so the mc/beta’s thought process or their own. I just don’t think the commenter said their thoughts in detail. And they said: “ In this situation biggest jerk would be beta IF he move on so fast.” Meaning they didn’t call them that now, only an IF scenario based on what everyone is telling him to do. (To just leave)
I think they’re saying it makes sense for the beta to not want to leave them since they’ve been together for 7 whole years and most likely during their relationship- the alpha was super sweet. The reason I think that tbh, is cause the mc is aware of the ml being rude before, but since he still get surprised by it, mc most likely only saw a small bit of that side to him before they dated. So the ml probably changed himself before dating the mc.
Also taking into the fact that mc loves him for so long, and since the ml saved him- he’d feel guilty and that it’s his fault, so it’d feel like it’s wrong to just quickly leave him as soon as things gets tough. Realistically a lot of people, if they were in the ml’s shoes and got amnesia, would want their partner to stay by them and try rather than leave them right away.
