Sangwoo all the time tries to show a super smart part of him. He is always giving advices to Bum (like "you're saying that it hurts? What you did has hurted a lot"), knowing the "tricks" that people can possibility give on him (kind of when he tested Bum saying he was leaving home to come back at 7pm) and act like a mature man.
To say the truth, I think that these points are covers that makes him seems a "knows all", because (at least for me) he is super immature and naive.
How can Sangwoo believe that trick card was a behavior of kindess? He was at a gay bar. Any person would like to impress another with interest at some love relationship point. His rage about the old man was nonsense.
The way that he treats Bum is irresponsible. Theses murderes, trips and experiences are too reckless, leaving too many pists of what is he doing. He could stop doing this, but for Sangwoo, it's important to "teach" things to Bum. The way he acts is like a little kid and, as such, it will create more problems to him.
The same happened when they got a ride with that old couple. When the grandpa realized something wrong with his baggage, he lost his composure and acted super immature, making not funny jokes.
Conclusion: It's what I love the most about KS. Sangwoo isn't the perfect killer. Anyway, the way he's always trying to be perfect can be a big disappointment of the past, which made him transform his mind.
