A spy for the FBI(which imo is better than being a gangster lmao but Shin was more angry about the fact Jay lied) so he left Jay, and idk some shit happened but the reason Shin is looking for Jay I'm not sure about, Jay is probably looking for Shin just cause he likes him
Shin is angry not only because Jake lied, but because he’s NOT a gangster. By Jake being a gangster, Shin felt like they were connected in that way. Shin isn’t affiliated, but he is a street rat who grew up around gangs. If Jake were a gangster, they would understand each other in a way that someone who hasn’t been around that life can’t. He found out he was a secret agent instead, and so it felt to him like anything they had gone through was not as connected as he thought, because Jake couldn’t truly understand the desperation and filthiness that comes from growing up in the streets.
Shin isn’t “looking” for Jake physically. His friend contacted him and said he found Jay because he found *information* about Jake that Shin previously asked him to find (going by “blonde, buzzcut, blue eyes”), when he was otherwise a ghost. No background to be found about him anywhere.
Jake IS physically looking for Shin, and has found him, because he warned Shin that if they started this relationship, he wasn’t going to let Shin go. Toxic, but his brand of affection nonetheless.

Awww thanks!! I hope that in the end both of them leave the whole crime world and live better but tbf Shin wasn't really a full gangster... He even was slightly shocked at times with what Jake would do(if I remember correctly) so... Maybe they can still leave this world
