On my fourth reread rn, and each time I have more understanding for these characters, I think that ryeong knew how Paljae felt about him through their travels together it’s hard to deny, but him becoming bigger is making it all more real. Munryeong is also suffering from scattered memories that he only began to remember when around paljae so all of that’s leading to a panic of unfamiliarity cause he doesn’t know where his emotions or nausea is coming from. But as you can see he only slapped Palgae’s hand and told him not to touch him when he confessed his love despite all the more raunchy things they did prior, is because with his new resurfacing memories, I think he’s remembering the people who claimed to “love” him and proceed to rip him apart and take everything from him despite that.

The wildest part is I enjoyed this manga, and this latest chapter truly through me off as a black person. The premise of this chapter is so odd and it it’s seems like it was used as an opportunity to say the n word, as it is, there are barely any places where black foreigners can feel comfortable while traveling, especially in Asia/Europe. The idea that there would be a town in South Korea with a majority black population is ridiculously outlandish but what’s worse is someone sat at their desk and came up with this scenario so they could find the perfect opportunity to call a black person a n*****, if that’s not pointed/targeted racism I have no idea what is.
