I have come to the conclusion that I’m not reading for this story for plot (because it sucks tbh and Mido’s reasoning for doing this doesn’t make sense) but just for the smut because that’s great

It would have made better sense if the boss (I can’t remember his name) didn’t know about the father being involved and was speechless like the rest of us. There is no good explanation he is going to have for letting them believe it was just the step mother when he was aware the father was involved the whole time and he knows the father’s real personality. If he even gives an explanation on why he never told anyone such vital information, they might gloss over it.

I just finished chapter 1 and I’m dying Ain’t no way I’m bowing in respect to the emperor, I would have already run out of the palace buy the time he glanced at the new eunuchs. They would see my after image because I instantly changed my mind about the job. You do not have to worry about me, you do not have to worry about me!

On one hand Je-oh warned him and I get he wanted to believe the guy was being nice to him because he was kind but he also has a crush on the dude. Je-oh literally saved him and he chooses his crush over him. But I know shit won’t end well for him so I feel bad, I just hope he realizes he has no one to blame for this mess but himself and doesn’t become angry at Je-oh

That friend seems more of a psycho then the seme, at least he’s up front with his crazy but the friend has his moments when you know he’s not sane. I feel bad for him because it looks like he’s been through some stuff but he’s going to do something that gets him killed and the uke hurt

Imma tough it out because the ML is hot but the FL so naive it irks me and this is like my 3rd one in a row where the FL was so naive it hurt.

I feel like this will be a tragedy and they won’t end up together. I keep thinking of the first panel of the first chapter, some old person (looks like a guy so it might be Goto?) is sitting by a lake with fireflies reading a letter while crying. And it hits different when you hear Goto talking about getting Satoko a house by a like so they can watch the fireflies everyday. Then they keep talking about her declining health and that chapter where she was skin and bones is scary. I want them to end up together and to be happy but I don’t think it’s possible.
