i actually had zero expectations when i picked up this webtoon and i thought eui joon would be the typical pushover mc who needs the love interest to save the day - thank god this isnt the case. its so refreshing to see the mc think and speak up for himself, he actually feels like a person and not a walking cliche like many other bl mcs.

I feel like everytime I come back to this manga, I learn something new about myself. Anonymous is a huge inspiration for me, first when I came to terms with being non-binary and now with being aromantic. (The manga says they identify as asexual but they don't experience any romantic attraction either so they are aro/ace). I've re-read this so many times and I will never get tired of it because there's always something new to discover.

This is unpopular but I actually like Insuh. He is clearly a selfish person and his relationship with Yool is toxic but I can't really bring myself to hate him. I think he felt good that Yool gave up music for him because he never saw Yool as his equal. He was a fan who fell in love with his idol and seeing the person he idolized giving everything up for him made him feel special. He was immature and there was never any equality between them in the relationship which is why it was doomed to fail. What he did was bad but his behavior makes sense, he isn't the "evil ex boyfriend" who is evil just for the sake of drama.

The author really did well on not making him out to be the typical evil ex whose sole purpose is to give the main love interest a reason to swoop in and save the day. He has legitimate reasons as to why he is the way he is, and even when it's unreasonable, it's humane. You can see how he warped his own ego, and how he seeks to redeem himself but also doesn't want to be outshined. It's selfish, but it's not something I can bring myself to hate.

I wanna add something positive because there's so much negativity in the comments. I think Sangwoo is one of the most interesting characters in the BL genre because he speaks his mind, isn't a pushover, has clear boundaries and doesn't care about what other people think of him. I don't think Jaeyoung is a bad person either, he has definitely went too far but I don't think he realizes that his actions can have consequences, this is the same guy who just stopped attending class because he was winning awards and getting lots of opportunities.
It's hard to imagine them dating right now because both of them are very independent people but I think they will learn from each other in the future. They definitely have a very interesting dynamic and I'm excited to see how their relationships develops in the next chapters.

I've been reading BL for years and characters like Sangwoo are so rare. The characters in this story feel so real and human which is probably why everyone is so frustrated. Their miscommunication doesn't feel forced and the love interest isn't portrayed as "perfect", he is arrogant and doesn't see the consequences of his actions but he has good intentions. Both characters are so far from the common BL stereotypes that it's hard to predict what happens in the next chapters.

I'm seeing some people not understanding why Sangwoo needs his walk or gets pissed because Jaeyoung took his cap so I would like to explain it as someone who is on the autism spectrum! (Sangwoo isn't confirmed to be on the autism spectrum but he literally has all of the traits)
1. His persistence on taking his daily walk: Autistic people often have routines that they follow every day. Some people are more flexible, other people insist on doing their routine on a specific time. Autistic people do this to relieve stress, autism makes you very sensitive to stimuli and unpredictableness so a specific routine gives an autistic person control and comfort.
2. His cap: Autism can cause a strong attachment to objects. This doesn't come randomly, this is because certain objects give an autistic person comfort. I have an attachment to another object and I get very nervous when I don't have it with me because it makes me feel safe. I assume that Sangwoo wears that cap because it gives him comfort so that's why he gets angry when Jaeyoung takes off his cap without asking him first.
I hope this gave you some understanding! I'm autistic myself so his behavior is relatable to me but i get why people think he's overreacting.

anyone else think sangwoo is autistic? he has some obvious autistic traits like not recognizing faces, having a specific schedule and getting upset when it changes and he cant read other peoples intentions (he doesnt get that jaeyong just wants to get along with him). i dont know if the author did that on purpose but this is the first time i found a realistic representation of the autism spectrum in a webtoon and i really understand sangwoo.

autism is still very misunderstood and autistic people with low support needs often go undiagnosed their whole life, you can sense that there's something "off" about them but you can't really explain why. as an autistic person myself, sangwoo is probably one of the most relatable characters to me i've come across in a webtoon and seeing an autistic coded character treated like a normal person in fiction made me really happy :)
