Wow
(spoiler)
I'm really glad, that i didn't read the comments before riding this roller-coaster. I wouldn't have gotten on, since I can't stand crying my ass of reading tragic endings. (yeah literally crying reading the last chapters was super hard, had to wipe me eyes all the time seeing everything hazily)
I'm in awe how well written and drawn this series was, the characters and flow of the story were amazing. I'm honestly kinda envious, how the author could make a story this great..
I often do this when I like the art, scrolling back up to read a scene from the beginning analysing every single expression thoroughly, every line drawn. I caught myself very often doing this reading this comic, I probably did it maybe 1-4 times every chapter so that i spent quite a long(er) time reading it. Still i binged it on three 1/2 days so one and a half ca.
I'm expecially fascinated from the well drawn facial expressions, faces in general. Soo fucking good, can't write it better hiw i feel about it
The ending was really something. It came a little bit unexpected because I misremembered the number of chapters (I thought all the time it had 87 not 67). Of course with a plot like this you cannot seriously hope for a happy ending... I also couldn't decide for whom I should root, everyone had likable and dislikable sides, which made them really great characters. But still when Bum and Sangwoo where shopping, skiing, spending time together in around ch. 35-45 roughly it was hard to not hope for them to stay like this.
One thing I thought was especially tragic was, that in the end no one was told about Sangwoos past, he couldn't open up ever to anyone. And, that Bum was clearly barely missing the chance for Sangwoo to open up to him and Sangwoo was manipulating himself somehow when he was getting into a vulnerable position starting to accidentally and involuntarily open up.
Crazy... This is so inspiring. I also want to create worlds like this.
I'm currently at chapter 31 and i cant loose the feeling that theres like no existing plot, theyre smalltalking all the time and matchmaking (in a, sorry but, boring and lash way). I still dont get eg the concept behind the blocks or what this company actually does..
This reminds me of a book author who analysed that a third of the jobs existing are useless and pure bullshit, where people get paid for sitting around. And this really reminds me of that, especially with god creating this company to fill out the jobless quote haha
Actually this would explain the flat plot.
The art is really nice but that's it for me...
Agree hahaha. I just reread this again and yep so much small talks that i kinda don't understand. It's not the grammar per se, but i'm trying to find the thought? As for the blocks, i don't know which blocks you were talking about if it's about the memory blocks or just the blocks that contain a certain chapter (or maybe a character as they subdued a mob that went astray of it's path) of the book (or the 3rd world human shit). Oh well, this kinda made your point stronger hahaha
Beautiful, creepy, hilarious. Im simply amazed by the drawings, they're so fucking good. Not only the faces and expressions are well executed. The way the scenes, depending on the mood, are drawn is just so astonishing. You can totally feel the horror and also that the artist, like, gets into this thrilling mood while drawing (i can totally imagine her swiftly scratching the paper drawing that abusing scene). Doesn't surprise me that the artist does horror manga too btw. Also stuff like this dark scribble above the teacher when he thought about his secretss... So satisfying to read and to look at. So so so fucking genius.
But the story as well! Ahhhhh so many feelings, characters with good and bad sides, with interesting backgrounds, unexpected plottwists, unusual storyline overall actually !! Im just really super impressed by her and hope so so much that other of her mangas will be translated some time soon!
Spoiler
