I think the story is about mc have crush on ml but can't confess to him. Then he have ml in his dream every night. But, the ml in his dream become the entity that have his own consciousness. He become obsessed with mc and intend to trap mc in his dream world.

The ending was the real ml entered mc's dream and rescued him from the fake ml
