Hmm I really liked this though, I thought the pacing was right and none of the Rapey stuff, I actually enjoyed the story and loved it. I thought this deserves more loves.
No rapey stuff?? The seme literally forced a handjob at the Ike. The uke clearly stated that he didn’t want to and hadn’t figured out his feelings, leaving him confused and unable to refuse. In other words, it happened against his will ... that’s rape by definition, and I hated how it was played off as a “my mind says no, but my body says yes” kinda thing.

Oh right you’re the rape person. And “my mind says no ….” Lol - Is this your first Yaoi sweetie?

Absolutely not. I’m just tired of seeing the same stuff being repeated over and over in every yaoi I read ... besides, this would have been way better if that scene wasn’t included. They were already on a steady course to confession without rape and the forced modeling together stuff, so it was unnecessary and ruined the story. Also, the “their mind says no, but their body says yes” thing is a trope that is used to justify rape, both in manga and in real life, so I’m not the “rape-person”, just a person tired of this bs. Isn’t that right, “sweetie”?

I honestly would recommend choosing another genreヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ I’m not even justifying it, I’m just used to it in FICTION as this is what I read. Plus japanese/Korean authors couldn’t give less crap about our views on this as in their culture this is seen completely different. Honestly my concern is that people give this rApE an 8.5 and go and idolise and ship Killing Stalking with a 9.5+ rating so yeah, I’m a bit ~confused~.

I don’t like killing stalking either, and I do like the yaoi genre, so I will keep reading it. That doesn’t mean that I can’t be disappointed by a story choosing to progress the plot by introducing rape. Besides, did you just imply that Japanese culture views rape as normal? If you're going to use phrases like "by definition" in a condescending way, I'm going to point out that rape by definition refers to penetration, not hand jobs. It would be sexual assault though, in real life. In the context of this manga it was clearly a bit of dubious consent, not assault. Kyoichi wanted to have sex with Umi, he was in love with him, he was only saying no because he though Umi was just acting. He was really happy after he realized Umi actually wanted him and then he was not only willing, he initiated it and was a very active participant. Umi was following the photographer's instructions, it was presented to him as being part of the "scenario." Kyoichi had agreed to do it as improv and gave everyone an impression of "I'll do whatever you want and you can record my reactions." He knew he'd be doing something sexual and didn't set any limits. When he actually said that he wanted to end the photoshoot Umi stopped.
I don't like when rape or sexual assault is used as a plot device either if the aggressor claims to be in love with the victim but what happened in this manga is not as bad as you're making it out to be. If it bothers you that much I recommend sticking to reading yaoi from these lists and avoiding the ones that have notes about brief dubious consent moments: https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangalist/23332 https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangalist/124330/

Your no fun! Ahahaha He could have just goggle rape to know the meaning of it but ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Ohhh.. it's sad that you don't even know the meaning of that saying! I literally feel bad for you, tell you what, why don't you go and ask your parent about it so at least they could off thought you something. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I know very well what the saying means, and I’d appreciate it if you stopped referring to me as a child. It is highly uncomfortable, and a tad bit creepy. Besides, it seems you simply can’t accept the fact that others may not favour the romanticization of sexual assault (even in fiction!) because it isn’t something everyone’s comfortable with. So when manga contain sa or rape in them, even when the story and genre don’t need it, it frustrates us. It’s solely there to drive them closer together by the “no means yes” sentiment that really is just forcing their way. It’s tiring to see good stories being ruined by lazy writing and tw-worthy content. So I’m sorry if your little brain hurt itself trying to understand that different people have different views, likes and dislikes. I won’t be responding to anything else on this thread (unless it’s an actual response).
PS: I’m fine with rape fetishes, but let it be kept in pure porn or psychological/tragedy genres, or at least put up a tag or warning.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the uploader for the effort! Really enjoyed the Twitter sharings too! Now I’m off to cry because another great story has ended, ( ̄へ ̄)
I was getting emotional over Beom not being able to sculpt and do things he loved because of his abusive family and suddenly those milkers and badongkadongs appeared and I - Those smut faces always get to me ヾ(☆▽☆) I need the next chapter!,
