I started reading this wheat it had 16 chapters, and it really felt like it had a clear kind of goal of two kids exploring the supernatural and whatnot kind of like a slice of life. But now, I don’t really understand what the « red string » tying all of these small stories is. Each arc a new set of characters get introduced, they have a sad backstory, they get helped, they get some character development and get added to the « gang » but then they kind of get left behind for the new introductions to the new characters. I like the characters and their story, and the lore is really interesting with the rules/explanations and it’s nice that the story has a somewhat clear coupling situation going on. I just feel like we’ve kind of lost the plot of aliens-spirits and I can’t help but wonder if the author really has a plan. Maybe a big end fight? Against aliens and spirits? I feel like that would just get boring though. What do you guys think? (=・ω・=)
when they had the big fight against the aliens and got the family jewel i thought it was over so idk, i think the same
in one of the further chapters, the main characters did theorize that maybe the reason that the aliens haven't fully invaded the earth yet despite their intelligence, technology, and power was because of all the yokais/spirits on earth. i don't know if that's going to be the actual red string to tie everything together but the thought of it was pretty fucking cool!
I feel like this last year (these last two years?) all of the featured manga have just become yaoi
Now there’s nothing wrong with reading and liking yaoi, but why are there so many and why are all of them featured ? I remember pre-2020 all the featured mangas were from different genres and I could actually get good recommendations from the home page, other than yaoi with r*pey undertones or badly made isekais

Likely because those are the stories that are really popular and receiving most views these days. Ppl who read action/shounen usually go to other sites too, so it’s like 60% bl and 35% shoujo/bg

This is so slow paced but at the same time it makes sense for this to be such a slow burn because the mcs are young and learning to communicate but at the same time I want all of them to be happy NOW but at the same time since this is such a well written manga with realistic flawed characters it makes sense for them to take so long to make progress because real life growth takes time but at the same time uuugghhhhhhh
