i don't really like the protagonist. it's debatable for him to have the right to have trust issues with lgbt+ people since he's been molested by some before, but he has absolutely no right to call them the f word and treat them like shit :l it was hard for me to finish this manga whilst having to deal with the main character and the things he said.
You're an idiot. The manga shows how someone so homophobic begins to overcome their homophobia and even going as far as to work with people like drag queens. The drag queen told him to stop calling people fag because it's rude and the main character stops calling them. The whole point of this manga is showing how the main character overcomes his homophobia. It shows that homophobia can be over come which is a good thing.
If this is difficult for you to finish reading then how about you imagine how some of us feel like in real life. I live in an area of the world where being gay can essentially get you killed and people around me are constantly degrading the lgbt community. There are people in real life who are worse than the main Character.
Total overreaction. It's only yaoi, it's fictional and obviously Amami has now come to terms with homosexuality and the fact that he also is a total 'fag' and even admitted he wanted Hachi to fuck him. Right? Worse things happen y'know.Smh
I am aware that this was a mild situation in comparison to many things that actually happen, but that doesn't mean that it's wrong for me to still have a sick feeling in my stomach whenever Amami spoke so poorly of the lgbt+ community. Even though all ended well and happy, his character throughout the manga was hard to deal with. Not for everyone, sure, but I'm not going to apologize for disliking the way he treated the other people in this manga before coming to terms with homosexuality.
Targeted? If these straight men feel targeted, it's their homophobic - and ignorant - problem. If a man has paid them the compliment of being attracted to them, it's not "targeting." It's normal.
I don't see this as a revenge-driven manga. It's a sweet, hot, well put-together story, and I'm looking forward to more.
To be fair, the two men of whom I speak, don't "feel" targeted, they have been actively and aggressively targeted. It's no different than unwanted attention women take from men (one is a waiter, who is frequently hit on by some of the other waiters, who do it only because they know it bothers him). Since the two are already uncomfortable with the idea of homosexuality, this type of stupid behavior just compounds the problem. They don't deal with it well (an understatement), and because of this, it now becomes everyone's problem.
The same kind of "history" in this story makes this character's behavior totally believable. And unfortunate.
However, their hatred and nastiness toward *ALL* gay men because of this (the vast majority who are not like those assholes) is an undeserved overreaction. Therefore, for the innocent, who frequently take the brunt of that anger, this manga is a "sweet revenge" fantasy.
that was so fucking hot ヾ(☆▽☆)
