Homunculus' beginning is promising, highly captivating, informing readers about unknown scientific notions, and above all raw. Each chapter is more and more interesting as you keep reading, until certain point. In my humble opinion, the story drags a little bit near the end. However, I understand that the author was trying to focus on the idea of beauty and criticise nowadays society for giving more opportunities to those that were blessed with good looks in comparison to those who haven't. The end? Hmm, I would say is appropriate.
All in all, this was a good read. If you are searching for something that will make you go "WTF" from time to time, this is your manga.
