Hmm, think of the complexity of human emotion, especially to those who perfer to be in control; this in no way means dominance. How do I explain it. A free untamed spirit is given a different sort of passion and feelings that is new and to be specific scary. Its like the self you thought you knew is being changed by another being. In order to gain "some" control you seek comfort or distraction in other things to trick yourself...or tell yourself that the person/being is nothing special and this new "feeling" will go away as most things do. As if the feeling is a simply confusion from perhaps lack of warmth or something else. So, one tries to escape, whether through sexual means, self destructive activites or just being absorbed in work and such. This is a defensive reaction, quite common. Not everyone wishes to jump in eyes closed from such strong emotions. Some fight, needless to say it often leads to stronger emotions and makes quite the mess of the situation, but some want there feet firm on even ground, like myself. Hope this helps.
