This story reminds me of Ways of Parting.....beautifully realistic. I do not know if a lot of younger readers will get the point of the story, the way a lot of us older readers would. The way they showcased Kuji's sorrow at his father's progressive dementia made me sad as well.
I love the fact that he understood his father more than he expressed and despite him being rather cold towards his child, Kuji was able to empathize. He took care of him and fed him ice cream. That was sweet.
Special shout out to Sakutaro for being the greenest of all green flags of a partner.
They don't put a name on their relationship, they are mature and they are affectionate. He gives Kuji his space not only when he is working but also when he is in deep thought.
Both of them are generous lovers. Kuji understands what Sakutaro likes and asks for it knowing well that the latter enjoys it thoroughly. Sakutaro likes to do the same to Kuji, taking care of him and being a source of comfort.
Please help I want this for myself.
Wait wait a second let me settle down for a moment this is way too cute for my heart...the two characters are so freaking adorable and the big guy is like a seal?!?!? I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THE WAY HE IS PORTRAYED PLEASE AND THE WAY THE BABY IS JUST FITTING RIGHT INTO THE PICTURE I AM IN TEARS LORD WHEN WILL HAVE A PARTNER LIKE THIS?!?
