If anyone's read the raws (up to ch 168 rn), does this ever turn into BL? Just curious, love the story.
I've read the raws, and no not really. It's mostly a boss and employee relationship, they stick close to each other because both of them are the only currently known mortals in the immortal society. Since both of them can die unlike others, they have to be careful. That's why Phill offered myeol to go to his place.

Cain is fighting a war against Satan. Sid is supposed to be Cain's right hand man, and he's supposed to be looking for the doctor that can help fix Cain and take out the fragments (courtesy of Satan). That's why Cain gave Sid the compass to find him. And Sid in return gave the compass to the other guy because he's betrayed Cain and instead helping out Satan's cause. He just told Cain to give up everything, his power, lands and attacked the other doctor (Aaron).
Cain can't go back to fight Satan with the fragments still in him because he's weakened and he can't heal himself properly so that's why at the end it shows Cain absorbing the powers of those around him. He needs the doctor and Gyeong Joon's help to remove the fragments first.
