i know the backstory is long asf but i think something finally clicked in my brain. i'm currently reading it in the perspective of ian regaining the memory of his past life -- aka brian's life.
i really hope that's what the author is trying to do bc we are in ian's pov and learning about brian's story as if it was our history. however, i could be setting myself up for failure if we get back to the present and ian still doesn't remember.. im gonna feel so sad
