I’m confused because I keep seeing so many positive comments of people saying that they are amazing couple and that they’re so cute when literally this was a whole rape scene

So many fucking fujoshi and they don’t even want to realize that this is legitimate rape and was not consensual at all to the point where the blonde was crying and begging him to stop
And the guy made an excuse for not stopping instead of apologizing which is such an asshole move

Ok. First, let's all calm down. What happened is indeed rape. But what's important is to know that this is fiction and the fact that readers can ignore it precisely because it is fiction. We all know that rape is bad, I trust everyone in this Site is at least at the age to know what is right or wrong. I am the type that is very tolerant to the concepts portrayed in the stories I read since I know for a fact which ones are really acceptable in the real world and which ones are not. There was no doubt in my mind about that fact and forgot that are people who dont see things as clearly as I do. There was no prior discussion or safe words established. If your argument is that it could have been established and just not shown in the webtoon, it still wouldn’t make sense. CNC (also called rape play) would be highly out of character for both of them and at odds with the stage of development of their relationship. And if they had a safe word, Eungyeom would have used it instead of bursting into tears because he felt he was pushed too far.

Look, if you don’t want to call it rape, just call it dubcon or something else. But cnc is a specific term of sex play that doesn’t apply here at all. The reason why we can assume that this was not discussed beforehand is because it was not written in the webtoon. I understand that you really like the story but you have to understand that this is legitimate rape and if it was discussed beforehand it would’ve been shown in one of the panels.

I think you need to understand this is plain common sense and you’re lacking that.

If this person still refuses to realize that that was rape and not consensual then they lack common sense because you have given them a strong backing, claim, and warrant.

Rape happens even in real life couples. The victim mostly just brushes it off afterwards because they love the other party too much. But whether forgiveness is given or not is not the issue. This victim was by far definitely raped by this person but the fact that they stay with that person was their own decision and that’s the way they reacted to their own trauma.
