Maybe try different activities to get her attached to your parents, like having them feed her or give her treats. It worked for my cat.
I actually miss my dog a lot sometimes. He was really big German shepherd and I ended up giving him away. I downsized when moving and it wasn’t feasible to bring him considering my work schedule.
